you can buy CP dolls from...

ELUTS: This is the Luts english-speaking online shop. You can order CP dolls, Rainman Elf dolls, and Peakswood dolls at the site, along with vast array of accessories, clothes, wigs, eyes etc from the shopping mall.
Ebay: Search under the 'dollfie' section, and you'll usually find a range of CP dolls there - this person works for Eluts distributing via Ebay.

There's also always plenty of CP dolls up in the Marketplace of DoA.

differences between CP and Volks SD13s...

This info is made from observations of boy CP & Volks, plus information provided by other people.

- whole body is generally a lot slimmer and more delicate.
- boys feet are small - they can wear most SD13/CH/etc girl sized shoes
- girls feet are also smaller then Volks girls
- hands are smaller; the wrist ball is 1.7cm wide - CP hands wont fit CH or Volks dolls. The fingers of CP are a lot slimmer too
- wrist ball is attached to hand, but has a wide slit, so retains same amount of movement as volks hands
- natural CP skintone is more 'pink' then Volks natural skintone, although in general, the CP tone varies from batch to batch
- BW CP skintone close to chalk white, far paler then Volks BW
- joint system is different. Boys have a low waist joint - 'undies joint'. The shoulder joint and er, butt (top of thigh) joint have an extra ball 'cap' that sits between the torso and limb, allowing for greater natural looking pose-ability
- CP girls have extra ball cap on shoulders, but not on the butt joint.
- (boys) neck is smaller then Volks - if you wanted to put a CP head on a volks body, you'd have to either sand the neck or the hole in the base of the head, otherwise it will look odd.
- in type 1 bodies, the head cap is attached directly to the S-hook, like the first generation Volks bodies were
- boys legs are longer (same length as Isao's legs), and torso is shorter then Volks

other random FAQ...

CP and Luts are not the same. Luts is a distributor for the Cerberus Project people, who make the dolls. CP is a different company, that primarily make figurines. Luts/ELUTS and CP also all have different face-up artists. Please be aware of this when ordering! The open release example dolls on the ELUTS site are done by the face-up arist they have, so if you want something like the example dolls, you'll have to order through ELUTS. Liria (CP) can only now do 'default' face-ups, which generally include neutral coloured lips, dark brown lower eyelashes and beige-brown eyebrows with pink-ish eyeshadow.

CP boy heads do not fit onto the CP girl bodies without some modification (and vice versa)

If you order through Liria (ie direct from CP), you will recieve a gift of a free pair of extra hands. These generally are the hands (boy version, or one of the extra girl sets if you order a girl) offered for sale on the Luts shopping mall site. CP used to also give out free sneakers, but they had a problem with obtaining these, so they aren't being given out anymore. If you order an Elf CP of some description, you will also recieve a pair of special 'archers' hands. [< in that picture you can see on the left, the 'gift' pair of hands I got, and beside them the 'archers' ones, and my vampire/dreaming elf el head]

CP girl hands are sculpted smaller, and well, more girly, but will fit onto boy bodies okay. And vice versa, except that the boy hands are a little larger overall. They're passable though!

Elf Shiwoo, Elf El were limited editions and came with an extra head - Shiwoo, with a completely asleep head, and El with a 'dreaming'/half-lidded head that also had vampire teeth. Elf Yder came with 2 extra heads - a vampire one, and a normal elf dreaming one. Elf Chiwoo had a much larger release number, and came with only one extra head - a dreaming vampire head.  Dark Soo Elf and Angel Soo Elf are open releases. Elf Lishe LE edition was released in December, coming with TWO extra heads (one regular dreaming head, and one vampire dreaming head). Elf El and Elf Lishe were re-released in 2006 for the Christmas special, but are DIFFERENT from the original heads - most noicibly, int he size. The new heads are smaller then the originals.

There are two different female bodies - the 'Lishe' body, which is the more mature, bustier body, and the 'Soo' body, the original less developed one.

The Soo body fits most SD & SD13 girl clothes pretty well, although the bust is comparable to a small or medium Volks bust, the torso in general is slimmer, so they should fit.

Open release dolls that are listed as "Out of Stock" in the ELUTS/Luts shopping malls are only out of stock for the month - they've run out of stocked supply to send out. They will be back in again though, usually by the next month! Only the dolls listed as being $0 are not having any more made.

El Special, Chiwoo Special, Lishe Special etc are open releases - they're not limited in any way. They contain one normal head (attached to body) and a spare dreaming/sleeping head. You can order makeup for both heads, you just have to choose the '2EA' option under the makeup section.
